Zibi is bringing new life to 34 acres of land that for hundreds of years was used for industrial operations. Located in our nation’s capital region along both sides of the Ottawa River, this new sustainable community will conform to the strict principles of One Planet Living. Completed in downtown Gatineau in 2020, Blocks 2 and 3 were rehabilitated to retain their industrial and historic style and were joined by a beautiful light-filled atrium. Our firm selected the mechanical ventilation and plumbing systems for the 20,000 square foot building. The mechanical systems were designed to reject heat back into the central heating plant loop that powers all buildings on the Quebec side to help achieve Zibi’s carbon neutral goal. The commercial building now houses tenants such as Spaces.
